Lady Liberty is on the obverse side of 2023 American Gold Eagle Coins in this tube of 50 coins. This effigy of Liberty comes from Augustus Saint-Gaudens and was created in 1907. Originally featured on the $20 Double Eagle, this image shows the front-facing figure of Liberty walking toward you with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other.
An American bald eagle is found on the reverse of 2023 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coins. This newer design comes from Jennie Norris and debuted in mid-2021 as a replacement for the original design from Miley Busiek that depicted a family of bald eagles in the nest.
